If the President can not do his duties the Vice President will be the acting President until the next election. The President will have to announce his Vice President through a bill and all parties will debate on the nominee and interview him or her, and the President will either approve or disapprove of the nominee at the end of the debate. The debate lasts for 3-6 months. The bill will be put through a vote. |

From | Lodamun Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Vice President | Message | I do think it would be more interesting if the parlaiment would have to approve the vice-president too, cause otherwise the president could just say this is my nominee and ignore the debate completly |

From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Vice President | Message | Very interesting proposal, I think it is a very good idea. I agree with LLP, the vice-president should be put up for vote, to make the decision more democratic. Also, the vice- president may serve as acting president in case something happens to the president or if he/ she is out of the country. I think that should be the main function. |

From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Vice President | Message | Of course, the vice-president will act as president until a new election is held. |

From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Vice President | Message | I personally like it, but as I said before the vice-president should have the power to be acting-president in case something happens to the president. |

From | United Republics Party | To | Debating the Vice President | Message | What's the point of the Prime Minister then? Isn't the Prime Minister de facto VP? Also, for purposes of this bill, I believe a 2/3 majority will be required. |

From | Lodamun Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Vice President | Message | Well the bill has a 2/3rd majority by the looks of it. Anyway the PM heads the government, but there is no law that says he can be the acting president if something shouls happen, and its normal for the PM to have any say in our military matters at all |

From | The Liberal Party | To | Debating the Vice President | Message | I think that if the same president gets reelected he/she should not be required to submit the same vice-president up for vote unless he/she wants to replace him. |
