"We must now get back what is ours - the city-state of New Jerusalem. We shall gain back all the pieces of our nation, New Jerusalem, the "Pontesi" protectorates, Tropica, and Squibble, while maintaing our nation intact, relentlessly, and will stop at nothing. We are not going to fail, we are going to succeed, and nothing can stop us."
-Raamiah Galgenstrick,
Chairman of the GJA
Foreign Minister of the SJHB

>>Be it enacted by 2/3 the Knesset of the Sixth Jewish Homeland of Beiteynu, let it be resolved that:

1)(A) The Nesí Hamdiná and the Minister of Defense are hereby authorized to initiate the use of force (B) against the defenses of the city-state of New Jerusalem.

2)(A) The Christian Soldiers, GXH-5328, and all other organizations and private military corporations for the operation to be chosen by the Nesí Hamdiná shall be involved in the initiation of force.

3)(A) The intent of the operation shall be (a) to remove Luthori forces from Beiteynu, (b) to reclaim New Jerusalem, and (c) to set up the new special administrative region government for New Jerusalem.

4)(A) The city-state of New Jerusalem shall be a special administrative region under the sovereignty of Beiteynu. (B) Only military policy, foreign policy, and tax policy shall apply over New Jerusalem. (C) All other policy shall be created and maintained by a government led absolutely by a committee of the leader of each of the eight largest parties in Beiteynu, each leader having equal power in the committee.

5)(A) The Nesí Hamdiná, the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the GXH-5328, and the CAJUFIR shall work to prevent retaliatory force from the "Holy" Luthori "Empire."

6)(A) Should the "Holy" Luthori "Empire" initiate any retaliatory "force" against Beiteynu, the government of Beiteynu shall defend New Jerusalem as it would any other part of Beiteynu. (B) Should the government fail to (a) gain back New Jerusalem, or (b) resist the demands of any retaliatory "force," for any reason other than physical inability to continue fighting, the Nesí Hamdiná and cabinet of the time shall be held personally responsible for giving up on the Jewish people, and all shall be held on grounds of impeachment.<<

Message"We are confused about the ambiguity of Article 5. Why is the Rosh HaMemshala not involved but a private corporation is?

Additionally the Ma'avak movement committs the Lohamei Herut Kahina to this noble cause."

Message"Because the Nesí Hamdiná ultimately has power over everything the Rosh HaMemshala. The only purpose the Rosh HaMemshala serves is to make the Nesí Hamdiná's life easier by doing work delegated to him. The Nesí Hamdiná, of course, has the power to delegate the involvement to the Rosh HaMemshala.

The Lohamei Herut Kahina is your paramilitary, I presume? You are the commander of the armed forces, so the additional paramilitaries you involve are your decision and are under your command. The SPR (OOC: if he gets back on anytime soon) owns a great deal of corporations and franchises - I'm sure that there are some paramilitaries under their ownership that are for hire as well.

Not to mention all the other paramilitaries contracted by Foreign Aggression Defense Insurance (FADI) agencies, and independently contracted paramilitaries. Not only does the Minister of Defense obviously have access to information about the best of the best and how to get the best deals, but there are also many organizations responsible purely for collecting data of the best paramilitaries and the best way to get the lowest prices, and are often contracted by the FADI agencies. GXH-5328 has such a paramilitary information collaboration agency wing, and will happy to provide such information."

Message"I don't think we should be sending all inhabitants back to Luthori; many are descendants of Beiteynuese Christian refugees from the Islamist regime who have simply adapted to the unique way of life there. Rather, we should remove the Luthori occupation forces while maintaining New Jerusalems occupants way of life and standard of living. Unneccessary hostile action can only prolong an issue in the region."

Message"New Jerusalem, as it is now, is basically just a fortress, and everyone inside is somehow connected with the Luthori military. There are no longer any real Beiteynese in New Jerusalem. They assimilated centuries ago. But there are less than two thousand occupants in all of New Jerusalem, so sending them back isn't unfeasible.

The question is: what are we going to do with the castle? Auction it to a private defense firm for retrofitting and fortification? Convert it into a museum? Make it a headquarters for a political party? Turn it into a secondary mansion for the Nesí Hamdiná? Make a really large synagogue out of it?"

MessageOOC: I've never been entirely clear on this, but I think New Jerusalem is a walled and fortified settlement rather than a castle; probably best to check with Luthori.

MessageIT is actally not a holy place but a historic landmark. It is mostly Christian so it must become somethig christian or at least Messianic Jewish.

anyways:
I got this from Luthori
Re: New Jerusalem - There's no chance the Luthori soldiers will put up any fight, given what's happening at home. We could do with two extra loyal divisions: you might want to consider delivering them the United Kingdom of Beluzia & Bailon - that way there would be no risk of sailing into contested waters, and it would be shorter.

MessageWe recommend the troops aren't sent to Beluzia, and are put under 'house arrest' in their barracks, while some factions of the Loyalist coalition are still making threats of reclaiming New Jerusalem.

Message"Actually, rather than placing them in house arrest, we could sedate and cryogenically freeze them until the whole situation is over and send them back.

Until a few years ago, cryogenic freezing was unsuitable for humans, and they would die. Recent advances have made it tolerable for up to fourteen months at the maximum, which should be enough for us to decide where to place them.

If we place them under traditional house arrest, they would be more difficult to manage and likely to attempt a rebellion. If we froze them, well, they wouldn't be giving us any trouble. What do you think about the first experiment to control enemies by FREEZING them?"

Message"We think it is montrous, and steps all over Beiteynuese laws regarding prisoners of 'war'. And without an express command from the emperor, one that will not come, we would doubt the Luthori forces would rebel so long as they have reasonable living conditions. In any case, Alduria has apologised for its hostile comments, so we believe that the divisions should be transported to Beluzia as soon as possible."

Message"We can hardly agree with calling cryogenic freezing "monstrous," as it is completely painless. The prisoners would suddenly wake up several months later and feel no different or have no long-term problems resultant of it.

And, exactly what laws regarding POWs are you referring to? Our treatment of prisoners is defined by the "captor power." In other words, we make the rules. How the prisoners are treated is decided by the Knesset in macro terms, and by the Nesí Hamdiná on the micro level.

But since Alduria has apologized, we agree that they could be transported to Beluzia."
