I am not necessarily against it, but what I would rather see is our trading treaty expanded, and for those not covered by that either a ban on goods produced in countries with unfair labor practices or a heavy tariff on these materials its level set at high enough that the companies gain nothing by producing in those countries. |

Message | s owe would support provided that wording to the effect of tarriffs only from nations and in goods engaged in unfair labor practices. And for those products produced in such a manner the tarriffs will be of least a level to negate the advantage of these method have over those used in our nation. Note we aren't saying they need to pay the same rate etc. just that they need to provide the same relative pay and promote safe conditions etc. we do not support protective tariffs, just fair trade. |
