MessageAs there is a great culture disparity between the people of more densely populated urban areas and the people of thinner populated rural areas, we do not believe the citizens of urban areas should have the right to impress their will on their rural counterparts through unequal representation.

MessageWe applaud the RRP for stating their belief that everyone's vote should count. However, that is not accomplished with this bill. Currently, each person's vote counts. Those areas that are more densely populated use more services, contribute more income, and have more people. Our existing system ensures that their votes count while also counting those in lightly populated centers.

If we alter the system we risk throwing this into arrears. People in more dense areas will not have their voices heard. They may see a reduction in services, as a result, and may feel disenfranchised.

COM has long fought for all people and we have not forgotten those in rural areas. We have a strong track record of supporting them and advocating for them. This bill, however, is not about caring for farmers and those living in small towns. It is an attempt to politicize the issue for hopeful gain in the upcoming elections.

The Radical Party, in particular, should take note. Last election their main support came from Sevescia the 2nd most populated state. If this bill passes, and it just may with their continued support of it, they are likely to lose a lot of seats and their ability to functionally serve Telamon.

I am not saying the RRP purposely created this bill with anything but good intent. I know them to be a good party that truly cares for Telamon.. But, the side effects of this bill's passing will be tumultuous for everyone.

MessageA question, based on the RRP's remark does that mean the RRP is no longer a conservative party? "All who think they are one bit democratic (not to mention liberal) voted yes on this bill."

The RRP voted in favor, and sponsored, this bill. Therefore, according to the RRP's statement, the RRP is a liberal party? We are confused.

MessageNo, we are the same democratic nationalsts, you could say 'conservative' but we don't prefer that expression. We meant that all who thing that they are at least on bit democratic should vote yes on this bill. For the liberals, they, I suppose, are 100% democratic (or maybe not?) have to vote yes on this bill. If they don't, I can't even think that they are liberal. I can only think that they are stubborn.

MessageThis does not express democracy! These are futile attempts to make one people's vote matter more than other's. If you have exactly equal representation, regardless of population, all the regions have the same amount of seats. That means that a region with 25 million people would have the same amount of seats as a region with 10 million. It is the definition of unequal representation. It is stupid.

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.

Random quote: "Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us." Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are not like us." Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction." - Charles R. Magel
