MessageThere are certain areas in which we must protect Telamonian industry. Some markets require our protection and it is our duty to provide that when necessary. Participation in the GHFTA denies us the ability to do that duty.

We are not advocating for complete and total tariffs, or their abolition. But, we believe it necessary to have the option to enact limited tariffs (i.e. The nation allows for imports, but imposes tariffs and quotas in certain areas) when specifically called for in times of need.

If the GHFTA allowed for that option to its members we would support Telamon's continued participation.

MessageThe DCD proposed the ratification of this treaty, and so needless to say will not support withdrawal from it.
