Bill: Undermining the Communist Agenda
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Socialist Peoples Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2564
Description[?]:
As an alleged extremist Communist party, the USPP finds it ironic that such an obviously communist bill was passed requiring work for the government. The USPP feels that it is the individual's right to determine who they wish to work for, not the state's. |

Message | It saddens the USPP to know that the people of Telamon will never truly be free with such extremist legislation opressing them. |
Date | 23:49:29, April 18, 2008 CET | From | Democratic Capitalist Delegation | To | Debating the Undermining the Communist Agenda |
Message | We would advise the USPP that this is not extremist legislation, as choice is afforded to the citizens of Telamon. Also, the citizens of Telamon enjoy multitudes of other liberties which help ensure they remain a free people. James Lott Chairman Democratic Capitalist Delegation |
Date | 03:10:37, April 19, 2008 CET | From | United Socialist Peoples Party | To | Debating the Undermining the Communist Agenda |
Message | They do have an one option, as to how to serve their term, but they do not have the option of working elsewhere. |
Date | 03:18:39, April 19, 2008 CET | From | Conservative Ordo Malleus (COM) | To | Debating the Undermining the Communist Agenda |
Message | While working for the government they are taught valuable skills that can lead to higher paying jobs in the private sector. Giving back should be embraced and a term isn't so long as to overly inconvenience one's life. -Thorden Raxney COM Party Leader |
Date | 04:09:44, April 19, 2008 CET | From | Telamon Minarchist Party | To | Debating the Undermining the Communist Agenda |
Message | Why should they be inconvenienced at all? We do not own the citizenry to dictate their lives as we see fit. And if there are such great benefits to this so called "service" then people will voluntarily join it; the fact that the programs have to be propped up by government mandate reveal just how unpopular the program is. I also find it disheartening that our allies in the DCD and RP didn't hesitate to chide the former LSD for placing politics over principal, but will vote against this legislation even if their parties and any supporters of capitalism actually object to it and the reprehensible ideas it stands for. Leonard Nozick Party Leader, Telamon Anarcho-Capitalist Party |
Date | 08:49:06, April 19, 2008 CET | From | Conservative Ordo Malleus (COM) | To | Debating the Undermining the Communist Agenda |
Message | Sometimes we have to make sacrifices for the greater good. -Thorden Raxney COM Party Leader |
Date | 00:31:21, April 20, 2008 CET | From | United Socialist Peoples Party | To | Debating the Undermining the Communist Agenda |
Message | The USPP strongly believes that the rights of the people are the only greater good. |
Date | 20:59:46, April 20, 2008 CET | From | Democratic Capitalist Delegation | To | Debating the Undermining the Communist Agenda |
Message | We resent the accusation that we place politics over principal, as we believe that reaching a mutual agreement is a principal of its own. Recognizing that not all the people of Telamon agree in full with the views of our party is the driving force behind compromise, as a compromise which suits each party to an extent will best serve the population of Telamon as a whole. We have stated before and will do so again that ultimately, the supreme allegiance of any party is only to people they serve. James Lott Chairman Democratic Capitalist Delegation |
Date | 21:03:03, April 20, 2008 CET | From | Democratic Capitalist Delegation | To | Debating the Undermining the Communist Agenda |
Message | Additionally, we have also said before that we would support legislation that made service mandatory only if the government chose to make it as much during times of war, as we also believe that is a relatively centrist compromise. However, no party has made such a proposal, and we cannot support proposals to either extreme. James Lott Chairman Democratic Capitalist Delegation |
