MessageI'm not sure how a private post office means the URP doesn't care about the people.

MessageYou are never sure of anything. Private post office means the prices cannot be controlled and the people will suffer with higher prices, which will definately will occur.

MessageIf the postal office is owned by the government, then yes. Have you ever seen a country where the national government does not control a post office?

MessageOOC: Many countries are moving away from nationalized post offices - Europe for example. In the U.S. and elsewhere, UPS and FedEx deliver parcels.

MessageIf you knew the Constitution, the United States MUST have a national post office, there is no way of getting around that.

That's not saying MUST establish, merely that it can establish. Don't try to pretend that you're more educated than me - you'll fail.

MessageIt seems like Wikipedia is working very good for you. Maybe you are part of those that have strict interpretation of the Constution. In those times, 1789, the word shall was considered to mean more than you "may" do something. The intention of that clause in Article I was to order Congress to do it. Let me ask you something, since you interpret it word by word, then Congress doesn't have the power to close down the post office because the Constitution only say they can only establish it. is that correct?

MessageThat's idiotic. It's an implicit power. Why don't you take your lumps and move on?

MessageIf we privatize the post office the prices will be low because of the market competion between the different choices. If more than one provide the same service a capitalis economy that will push the prices down as everyone will try to have the cheapest deal to attract customers from the other

MessageBusinessmen always make deals and they can simply get together and agree to increase prices to increase tehir profits. The national government should have a post office to conduct its official business.

MessageWhat you just described is a crime. The URP supports healthy competition. There is no evidence that private post offices will engage in collusion.
