MessageThe AAP is divided on this issue.

We believe that business may be harmed by such legislation, BUT, we also consider ourselves a fairly 'green' party... Currently, the meetings of the Anarch Anakrousite Party are 'animated', to say the least.

MessageThe regulations, I recall, unless this value has been changed more than once since, were specified in the original bill. They were strict and required that scientists gathered adequate proof that the animals were unlikely to be killed or permanently harmed by the products, and that the conditions in which the animals were kept were acceptable. In light of these regulations we feel that current laws, which allow testing for such things as allergy control, strength and effectiveness on animals, which do yield valuable results despite the assertions of the CPL, should be allowed to remain.

MessageThe AAP council has been swayed by the wise words of the LPE. Since animal testing is very heavily regulated already, and since we see no real justification for increasing the burden on industry, especially in light of no other more valid apporach to testing... we are going to have to vote against this bill, at this time.

The AAP may well be open to voting in an opposite direction, at a later date, if we believe the bill and justifications warrant it.
