Message | Nuclear weapons only affect a specific area and can be made to be relatively clean and can be used against military targest only. Biological and chemical weapons can and in most cases will affect large areas and are indiscriminate and can quickly make there way into the civillian population. |

Message | Nuclear weapons do NOT only affect a certain area. Surely you have heard of fallout? And nuclear wind? [[Consider this map, showing the fallout results of American nuclear testing to get a bit of an idea: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:US_fallout_exposure.png In case you're wondering, the bombs were dropped in Nevada; the winds travel westward at this longitude.]] It is impossible to direct a nuclear weapon against any single target smaller than a 10-20 mile radius, if one is to take into account radiation, and that's for a very small nuclear weapon assuming absolutely no fallout from wind (a fairly poor assumption under any circumstance). Fallout can easily travel hundreds of miles and remain dangerous for years, or even decades. |
