Message | The F.R.P. can not support Article 1 given our other proposal. Furthermore it isn't our view that the government have the need to build any sort of a gated community other than having the intent of imprisoning some of our own citizens. I wonder if the Pro-Slavery S.R.N.P. will vote for this based upon such reasoning? |
Date | 16:19:24, April 23, 2008 CET | From | Meritocratic Alliance | To | Debating the Community and Prison Bill |
Message | No, we believe prisoners should be reformed through education and hard labor. |
Date | 17:59:49, April 23, 2008 CET | From | Solentian People Party | To | Debating the Community and Prison Bill |
Message | This bill is ridiculous for a number of reasons. One reason is that taking away hard work and education from our prisoners will increase boredom in our prisoners and won't give them any incentive or optimism about life on the 'outside.' Furthermore, professionals within the Prison industry have said quite clearly education for prisoners is a good thing as it encourages the prisoners and also decreases reoffending, something I in my role am commited to reducing and something your party should support as well instead of proposing these silly bills. Message | SRNP was it not you who successfully enslaved Solentians under the guise that you only meant for prisoners to be enslaved? correct me if i am wrong. So tell me how do you claim to support reform through education when all you want is for them to be enslaved.... There is very rarely such a thing as an educated slave, let me assure you of that. Our prisoners do not do any work during the day anyway according to current laws, when they do something actually productive manually than i will support giving them education, but until then they can sit and serve their time. Message | Mr Ingram (are you all named Ingram?) you may assuredly not assure me of anything, especially since all evidence points out that the average member of your party has the IQ of a boiled peanut. Under Radnat introduced laws in the past (and Godwilling in the future) prisoners did work, were educated, and yes in some circumstances were sold in order to releave the state of it's burden, until they paid off their sentences. This was a fine idea, unfortuntately misunderstood the Ingram Pary members and their fellow FRP lapdogs, the Automaton Party. Sam Sloan, SRNP Exarch. |

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that. |
