Bill: Economic Freedom Act #5
Details
Submitted by[?]: Capitalist Working Families
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2566
Description[?]:
"Logic 101": A = The Right(s) of Workers & CITIZENS B = (a) The Right to FREEDOM of CONTRACT & (b) The to Right to FREEDOM of ASSOCIATION C = The Right to ORGANIZE (lit.: associate in a Union) & **Collectively** Bargain (Contract) with their Employers in the FREE MARKET!!! P.S.: As for the provision of the "mininum wage," the CWFP is of the sound assertion that workers in "Mickey Ds" should NOT work for some crappy "minimum wage" but instead have a **guraranteed** Right to ORGANIZE and COLLECTIVELY BARGAIN for a just wage as well as benefits etc. Thanks again. If A = B, and B=C, there therefore it can be LOGICALLY concluded that A = C!!! Thank you for your full support. |

Message | (2) RDF, in a FREE society, it is NOT the perogative (duty) of government to dictate the price of labor or other commodities (wages). Rather, wages should be set VOLUNTARILY by the employees and employer in union negotiation. (3) RDF, why should the autoworkers union in the North "strike" when the teachers' union in the 500 miles South is striking??? Can't workers just strike for their OWN pay and conditions out of fairness? (5) I'm honestly confused at your opposition to this provision. This proposal is inherently PRO-worker as it enables the WORKERS to own the means of the production [Marxism]. |

Message | ad 2. That has nothing to do with the "free" society. As we already put it, real freedom is the freedom of one's thought, not freedom to do what one wants to do. This has something to do with regulation of market. We already said that we do not support market without regulation, there's no such thing as free _and_ effective market (want some real life example? oil, food prices..). Also, there can be no agreement between employees and employers, they have radically different interest. RDF supports socially responsible society and state, so we support some minimum wage , because everyone should be able to live from his own work. That doesn't have to some big minimum wage, but there should be some social measures. ad 3. We believe in basic right of human individual to freely express his opinion. Secondary strike is a way to show someone's opinion, and also a way to do the political pressure on the government. And the people have the right to do that. Of course, in some boundaries, there should be some strike regulation, but we are against secondary strike prohibition. ad 5. We are not marxists :)) that represents an overregulation, and we do not support. RDF supports greater involvement of workers in ownership and management, but without tax exemptions and subsidies. For now. :) |
