Message | RDF, under the **current** law, the Military of Rutania must pay Boeing 100,000 RUT to build an aircraft bomber. However, under MY proposed law, the government would hire its OWN engineers and technicicans to build its OWN bomber for 50,000 RUT thus saving the taxpapers 50% in "overhead" costs. Thanks again. |

Message | RDF already proposed such a law, but we were convinced into opposite. There is no guarantee to make weapons cheaper. But we support regulation over arms sale and weapons control..but that's something for another law. |

Message | This would not make the cost cheaper, it would make them either equal in price or higher becuase then the government would have to pay the workers who make the weapons, maintain the industry that produces them, pay for the material that makes them, and then pay the saleries of the people who do research/engineering on it to make the weapon more up to date. This would be a taxpayer burden, not a relief. Why do all that work when we can just buy it from the company and they do all the business stuff? Its simpler and it can also grow the economy in a positive way, where the government has limited intervention. |

Message | CP, Yes those expenses that you cite are accurate but they are MIS-applied. The **current** private defense contractors pay the the SAME expenses which are SHIFTED to customers (government) in the form of a HIGHER prices. Then, the private defense contractor marks-UP the price to **maximize** its PROFIT. Now. who shoulders that burden??? |
