Bill: President Kettering's Cross-Party Coalition

Details

Submitted by[?]: Radical Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2566

Description[?]:

As the new President, I wish to begin my term by continuing the good work of my predecessor in breaching the gulf between left and right politics, and finding a common ground between all of us.

My priority has been to appeal to moderate parties that have proven themselves to be committed to bettering Telamon, and ensuring its stablity and the status quo. This does not mean I am opposed to Radicalism, or a new dynamism, economically and socially. But the stability that President Petrovskaya-Guillaume's coalition government brought allowed the government to serve out a full term, in a time when recently several votes of no confidence have been called.

Thus, I have drafted this coaliton with Telamon's best interests at heart, and hope it will be welcomed by the House.

Thomas Kettering
President of the Republic of Telamon
