Bill: the head of state

Details

Submitted by[?]: Lodamun Libertarian Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2566

Description[?]:

With the introduction of the vice president I dont think we need a pm anymore. We havent used the pm for ages in rp, and there is no real use of having both a president, vice president, and a prime minister, I think we should merge the two officers into one

MessageThis is not necesarry. Too much power to the same person is not good. Besides, why would you want to change something that works perfectly? If it's not broken, don't fix it.

MessageWell it is kind of broken as the office of prime minister is practicly useless. I dont really see any good reason to continue having a pm

MessageWell, there is no problem with having it either. If it exists or not won't make a diference anyways.

MessageWell it means we will basicly be paying for a job we dont need. And for your argument about too much power, I can not think of one power the pm has that the president dont already got, so there wouldnt be any more power. The office as it is now is just a waist of money. If we are too keep we should actually take some power away from the president and give it to the pm, so atleast it has a purpose

MessageThats a good argument for why the government should be as small as possible :)
But I think we should eather get rid of a useless office or give the president less power so the pm has a purpose

MessageI disagree with giving more power to the Prime Minister and taking away from the President. The Prime Minister is kind of a symbolic position. I think we should keep it.

Messagethe pm is a symbolic position? The pm was never intended as a symbolic position, and if thats all it is reduced too then thats just sad. Anyway if the PFP wont remove the office then the LLP will atleast ask the PFP to consider making the president less powerfull and the pm more powerfull so it can actually have a use.

MessageI don't want to remove the Prime Minister but the President should keep its power, so I will vote for it.

MessageThe Prime Minister used to be the powerful position. Perhaps we want to change the title of Prime Minister to Vice President? Then we can get rid of all the useless VP laws. The new VP position would combine the responsibilities of both offices.
