The state of the public economy allows the government to make significant spending increases in the budget for various means. The Ministry of Finance proposes the following changes: * Presidential Office: +90 million Dolgars for repairing the presidential house, staff increases and additional day-to-day expenses * Foreign Affairs: +500 million Dolgars for new embassies & repairing the old ones, staff increases and wages * Internal Affairs: +2 billion Dolgars for the establishment of new national fire department and updating old equipment * Finance: No changes * Defence: +5 billion Dolgars: - 3,75 billion Dolgars for buying 50 new Eagle F-1-zx fighters for the Air force (75,000,000 Dolgars/fighter) - 1,0 billion Dolgars for buying 800 Kordaw A-1b main battle tanks to replace old Büffel A-3c's bought from Dundorf (1,200,000 Dolgars/tank) and modernizing their weapon systems - 250 million Dolgars for 8 new mine-layer ships (31,250,000 Dolgars/ship) * Justice: -4 billion from reducing the number of municipal courts and court of appeals * Infrastructure and Transport: +3 Billion Dolgars for new highway & railroad projects for maintenance of rural roads * Health and Social Services: +2 Billion Dolgars for improved social security system (Welfare Reform Act of 2566) * Education and Culture: No changes * Science and Technology: -5 Billion Dolgars from state-subsidized science & technology of major technology corporations * Food and Agriculture: +500 million Dolgars for agricultural producers (Agriculture Support Act of 2566) * Environment and Tourism: +1,0 billion for recycling & environmental teaching * Trade and Industry: +500 million Dolgars as investment subsidies for small & middle-sized rural enterprises Total: +5,090,000 Dolgars. Rest of the surplus, 67 billion Dolgars (after taxation reform) will be used to pay back part of the huge national debt of about 370 billion dolgars |
