Voting deadline: June 2113

MessageWe prefer 'First Minister'. 'Secretary General' hints at communism.

Message"Secretary General" is often used to describe the head of institutions - NATO, the United Nations, etc. ("General Secretary" is a more leftwing description, being preferred by trade unions and the UK Labour Party.)

However, it seems an inappropriate and excessively long title for a prime minister. FBSP prefers to stick with "First Minister", "Prime Minister" or "Premier".

MessageIncidentally, the term "minister" comes from the Latin word for "servant". So the first minister's role in serving the country is already encapsulated by this terminology.

Random quote: "Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us." Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are not like us." Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction." - Charles R. Magel
