MessageThe common courtesy bill allows for more organized debate and keeps people from just imposing their views on eachother without any discussion. Am I the only person who holds the sharing of beliefs sacred in this country?

MessageI'd love to see robust debate occur, but I don't see overly restrictive laws as needed for it to be possible. Debate can even occur during the voting phase.

I'd rather amend the CCL to more specifically prevent proposal stealing than to get rid of the law entirely; however, the current law with its current restrictions is too easily open to abuse. If the only choice is between current CCL and none, I'd choose none.

MessageYes, there is also disagreement about the legality of making orders in non-proposal bills

MessageI think we should keep the common courtesy bill.

Its only common courtesy, not to propose the same proposal, while another party is proposing one.

MessageI see the dire need for this bill to keep players in check, but I also see the problem with abstaining from voting. Abstaining helps no one involved but the perpetrator. Therefore, I won't support this bill to abolish the Common Courtesy bill, but I do support amending the bill to remove the punishment aspect (unless another form can be thought of). It would then become a good will bill, and hopefully there are no parties who would continously break it for lack of consequences.

MessageI will support this one then. Later, I may post a whole new bill to replace the last so that the edit is included in the document.
