Message | There should be no publicly-maintained power stations. The free market is responsible enough to provide for our nation’s power demands without menacing governmental interference. Let me make it clear, however, that no power stations will be closed as a result of this Act. This Act will result in the liquidation of the current state-owned power stations to private interests. Private interests are better equipped to deal with changes in the market than government. |
