Bill: Legislative Assembly - Pabeus & Hiamou Riot Outbreak( 2567)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal Urban Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2568
Description[?]:
As this release of prisoners has caused much disturbance in Hiamou, as well as Pabeus, we urge the legislative assembly to decide on the matter. By voting yes, you give authorization to local authorities to restrict the outbreak and therefore release the Black Legion of the JPC from their duties, allowing the police to control the situation. By voting no, you oppose to the above and do not wish the police to intervene, allowing individual parties to handle the situation accordingly. |

Message | More yes parties than no parties, in order to make it fair. |

Message | We applaud this move by the LUP, and hope this will aid the situation. As much as the Black Legion has restrained the outbreak in Avadar, it is hardly trained for the job. |

Message | Have all the released prisoners been committing crimes? If not, they should be allowed to remain free; their release was arranged via legal means and by the appropriate authority. |

Message | So, we're setting the precedent that it's acceptable to ignore/act against orders from the Ministry of Justice? Neither the police nor the party militias should be doing anything. The prisoners should be permitted to leave and go about their business. If they commit new crimes following their release, they should then be detained and sent back to prison. Until then, they should be left alone. |

Message | Actually it has not been ignored, it was very much noticed. The ministry of Justice is being overruled, as is prudent. Prior to this only the Black Legion had acted in Avadar, and the LUP made it quite clear what their position was on that move. |

Message | I was unaware the Majilis had the authority to override a Ministry. |

Message | The Majilis controls everything OOC: I can't think of a nation where it's parliament can't override a ministry to be honest... |

Message | The Majilis can't override the position of a Ministry in regards to a declaration of war. Why can it override them in regards to any other use of the power of a Ministry? |

Message | Even though that position is irrelevant now. We have a different MoJ now. |
