Description[?]:
The Year of Jubilee, every 50th year - the "Sabbath of Sabbaths" - when all debts were canceled, and all property returned to the original owners. On that all small debts (below 5000) would be eliminated, medium (5000 to 20000) reduced by fifty percent, and so on. This will act as a defult Law. Situations decided by the Supreme Court, (or moral court if passes) will be exceptions to the law. All unfiled lawsuits will be cannelled on the Jubilee date. All loans not payed after 50 years and if the debtors can not afford it must be forgiven. And Moses commanded them, saying: 'At the end of every seven years, in the set time of the year of release, in the Feast of Tabernacles, when all Beiteynu is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which He shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Beiteynu in their hearing. Assemble the people, the men and the women and the little ones, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law; (Deuteronomy 31:10-12) That means that on that day TV shows must stop or play biblical stories and bible passages so that the bible for Christians and the Torah for Jews can be read and praised. |

Message | We sympathise with the intention behind this Bill, but believe the right way forward is to build a more socially just economy through reforming the banking system, redistributing wealth etc. rather than through re-enacting an ancient law from biblical times.
