Message | Cuts= to much. Particular departments are cut in half, or by a third. Thats to high of a percentage. We can never support a bill that more then 20% cuts any departmet, except perhaps under special conditions. |

Message | Even without that, we don't support the overall cuts. |

Message | The Finance Ministry recommends against this bill for a lot of reasons. We don't have time to go into depth on all of them. But for starters: The Head of Government Ministry is cut by 100 million ALOs. Out of the Head of Government budget comes: 1) Salaries for 750 members of Parliament and their staff, including secretaries, legislative aides, legal counsel, and more. 2) Salaries for every Cabinet minister and their staff. 3) Salary for the President and his staff. 4) Office expenses for all of the above. 5) Travel junkets for all of the above. 6) Security detachments for all of the above. Our opinion is that this bill is rooted less in any sound policy reason than it is in ideological doctrine. We urge the parties to vote no. |

Message | Also please observe that there is an almost %50 cut in defense spending. |

Message | When we propose a budget, we generally post explanations for the changes we make. We urge all parties to adopt a similar approach. |
