Bill: Trade Union Reform Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Free Democratic Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2570

Description[?]:

Moderate changes to trade union legislation to regulate employers' firing of strikers and to end the ludicrous policy of secondary strikes.

Article 1 provides for a clearer definition of on what grounds strikers can be fired on, rather than an arbitrary centrally-set government approval. Article 2 ensures that trade unions maintain their role of collective bargaining for their members, rather than overreaching with strikes unrelated to them.

MessageIn the spirit of cooperation with a party we're infrequently aligned with, and because we believe Alorian workers are well protected under either policy, we vote yes.
