Bill: Trade Union Reform Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Free Democratic Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2570
Description[?]:
Moderate changes to trade union legislation to regulate employers' firing of strikers and to end the ludicrous policy of secondary strikes. Article 1 provides for a clearer definition of on what grounds strikers can be fired on, rather than an arbitrary centrally-set government approval. Article 2 ensures that trade unions maintain their role of collective bargaining for their members, rather than overreaching with strikes unrelated to them. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Employer's rights in regards to firing striking workers.
Old value:: Government approval is needed before strikers can be fired.
Current: Employers cannot fire workers who have gone on strike.
Proposed: Employers can fire workers who are deemed to have gone on strike without reasonable reasons.
