MessageFBSP believes the current law, requiring citizens to carry identity cards at all times, is a breach of our civil liberties and must be opposed.

Under the new proposal, citizens would retain their cards would be no longer be required to carry them around everywhere (which can be highly inconvenient, especially at the beach).

FBSP would be willing to consider the arguments for a more radical move, abolishing the cards altogether, but in the meantime we put forward this moderate, reasoned proposal.

MessageThe problem is that the carrying of indenty cards is not only compuslive when dealing with goverment institutions, but it's absolutely necessary when dealing with official forms, government forms, buying things that are only legal for a specific age group, when you get a traffic ticket, etc.

Consequently, this bill is just a waste of government time and money, as all will cary their IDs at all time regardless of what the government says. I will abstain from this vote.
