Message | May I propose that along with the retitling of the provinces, we also adopt a policy whereby the party in control of each Duchy can name its next Duke? ie His Grace The 18th Duke of Geharon is currently a member of my party, and a named member of the cabinet: but due the nationalists controlling the Duchy of Geharon now, they will name the 19th Duke in one of their next cabinet positions, and we will name one of ours as the 2nd Duke of Yodukan (the late Prince Frederick Augustus being the 1st). This system could be expanded to include cities: provincial capitals having Earls, named by the controlling party, and lesser cities could have Viscounts. We could make it so that all members of the Diet are Barons (NB all peers ranking lower than Duke can be simplified to Lord, eg the 22nd Earl of Sandulka would be known as "Lord Sandulka"). Does everyone agree? |

Message | OOC: We do need to make a special case for Orange, as the monarch is Prince/Princess of Orange. Might I suggest that the provincial Duke is named as either the Duke of Geharon or Duke of Liore? |

Message | OOC: I meant to Duke of Agathion. I have since proposed that Agathion is made a city in Orange for this purpose. |
