Message | We support, though we still would like to see a proportiante cabinet open to all parties. |
Date | 21:46:50, May 16, 2008 CET | From | Democratic Rationalists (PrCoa) | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of April 2577 |
Message | It's our compromise for asking to retain a powerful post. Just give us Finance, and we won't ask for anything else. It seems to be working well enough for the Coalition. Conservative opposition: All members of the Progressive Coalition except the Socialist Alliance now support in principle the idea of an inclusive proportional Cabinet. I say this not to single out the Socialist Alliance, but to let you know that if you focus *positive,* friendly efforts on persuading the Socialist Alliance to our way of thinking, that an inclusive proportional cabinet might be in the future. I really don't think it will be productive to attack Socialist Alliance though. That approach only tends to make people more standoffish and defensive. Your call though. But if you want an inclusive cabinet, Socialist Alliance is the man you need to talk to. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
Random quote: "If democracy is ever to be threatened, it will not be by revolutionary groups burning government offices and occupying the broadcasting and newspaper offices of the world. It will come from disenchantment, cynicism and despair caused by the realization that the New World Order means we are all to be managed and not represented." - Tony Benn |
