Message | We're really not sure about this. We believe there should be standards set out in law, and we believe people should have the right of compensation for any loss or injury they sustain as a result of these regulations not being followed, But it would seem that actively enforcing the regulations would lead to lots of bureaucracy and red-tape, which goes against our commitment to small government. And we are definitely against article 3 as we are against any moves to give power to local governments; it just introduces another needless layer of government with all the associated expense. So on balance we will vote no. |

Message | Well, why don't we give as much power to local governments as possible and reduce the power of Federal government? The difference between local government is that if you hate it and it oppresses, you can always move to a neighboring town. But with the Federal government, if you hate it and it oppresses you, you're screwed, so on balance, anything that can be done by local government should be done by local government. |
