Bill: Adoption Bill!
Details
Submitted by[?]: Telamon National Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2579
Description[?]:
We are not against homosexuals, however we feel that the children on Telamon should be put first and we feel that a child must have a man and woman bring them up. That is why we are also opposed to single parents adopting, gay couples adopting children could cause confusion and social problems for the child that has been adopted. |

Message | The HRP will vote against this bill. We believe that all mankind, regardless of sexual belief, are equally qualified to raise a child. Beyond that, not allowing singles or homosexual couples to adopt will only increase the number of children in our expensive child-services departments system. |

Message | We must put the welfare of the children before the cost of keeping them. |

Message | The sexual orientation of a couple does not have bearing on the welfare of the child. A no vote can be expected from our party on any law other than the current one. James Lott Chairman Democratic Capitalist Delegation |

Message | We are putting their welfare first. Less adoptions does not help the welfare of children in the Republic. Children who are not adopted are less likely to be able to have healthy relationships or good lives. The financial aspect is only a secondary concern that lends to our argument. As well, children without parents are likely to have trouble with crime, which is even more money down the drain. Children require education, stable households, and their basic natural needs. |

Message | Children to single parents are also known to generally have problems with crime and low standard of education so single parents adopting doesnt solve the problem. Gay couples adopting could confuse children about their sexual orientation, and then you have the social impact on them by having dad and dad/mum and mum. Homosexuals have hard enough time being honest about themselves, it would be just as bad if not worse for children with gay parents. Also it is known that the homosexual community are represented out of proportion for child abuse. |

Message | Firstly, letting single parents adopt children is not the issue. The issue would be letting unqualified single parents adopt. There is a system of qualification for adoption in Telamon, and we see no reason to refuse the right to adopt to anyone who has qualified through that system. Secondly, your claims about homosexuals and homosexual couples are merely opinion based accusations to which no evidence is offered to substantiate. Message | This is a pure example of stoping the terror of homosexuals on heterosexual young children. We proposed similar bills in the past and feel very closely related to the TNP. Vojislav Krkljus Chairman of the RRP |
