Details

Submitted by[?]: Rutanian Democratic Forum

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2580

Description[?]:

This law proposal determines that every religion must register itself, or at least be recognized in society and in the state and provinces, no matter how many members it has.

However, all cults, which represent a danger to someone's personal integrity, to the society, or to the constitution and law of the Commonwealth and its Provinces, should be outlawed.

MessageYes the IP agrees. All religions should register to the state for a license. This license will proclaim that the religion can be pracitised in Rutania. Any religions without a license will be arrested. We also agree about the non-practice of cults.

MessageYou cannot "arrest" a religion, Imperium Party. All what this law wants to say: all religious organizations will be registered, except those cults (since that kind of practice cannot be called religion) which represent a threat to society, state or someone in person. Such cults will be prohibited.

MessageCan Not support, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all started out as cults...so did many other recognized religions in this world. Who are we to tell what is recognized and what isn't? Big Government is the real threat to Rutanians and the people of the world!

MessageHow could this be supported by any party? This is a gross abuse of government power and clearly an exhibition of the extremities the RDF is willing to go to curtail the freedoms of the Rutanian people.

MessageWhat about cults that promote suicide? What about cults that promote terrorist attacks? What about cults that basically abduct people? DO they have the possibility to develop in some new Christianity? Don't be redicolous. Such cults present a danger to everyone's liberty and freedom! And RDF cannot possibly understand this: How can prohibition of such cults be a limitation to freedom when this cults themselves present a dagner to freedom??

To your logics, LP, we could not punish someone for abduction of some person, because that would limit his freedom to do "everything what he wants to". ???

MessageThe law does not say cults that abduct people, rape people or put people in danger...it just says cults. Those kind of cults anyway would be very few in numbers and if they do that kinda stuff then it is already against the law. With the cooperation of the Rutanian people and law enforcements, those types of cults are so close to extinction.

MessageWe can , however, restrict this law to apply only to that dagnerous cults. I already implied that in the title. Of course, there is no such an option, but among us, we could know it applies only to dangerous cults.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.
