With the incredible gains made possible by not only the Ministry of Finance in it's sweeping reforms to domestic expenditures it is more than possible to lower taxes considerably. Message | Rather than cut our most crucial taxes, why doesn't the Finance Minister increase our expenses to fill the surplus? Our Defense budget still requires drastic increases jsut to keep pace with several of our neighbors, though the MEPP treaty keeps our nation secure. Or possibly a combination of the two, with increases in critical expenditures combined with tax cuts to keep our surpluses down. Would that be fairer? |

Message | The Ministry of Finance does not view a surplus as a bad thing to have, whatsoever. Elements in the markets and domestic issues at any moment might render us crippled if we don't have some measure of caution with our spending. However, the Ministry of Finance and the N.F.C. fully support your desire to increase the defense budget. Our party believes the most deterrent in diplomacy is from a position of extraordinary power. We do appreciate your acknowledgment that the reforms imposed thus far by the Ministry of Finance have met with little to no opposition and you perhaps even support what has happened. This having been said, I would like to ask the Ministry of Defense to provide me with a specific request as to better facilitate any further adjustments. Though to be clear, we openly and encourage the Defense Ministry to work closely with myself and the N.F.C. in this mutual agenda. Minister of Finance, A. H. Thamion |
