Bill: CPL Pest Prevention Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Liberal Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2115

Description[?]:

We propose this bill in order to allow the farming community to bring populations of pests under control.

Pests are defined as animals that cause harm to farming, through the killing of farm animals, through the destroying of crops and through the spread of disease.

This will not affect the status of endangered species, because huntng of endangered species is already prohibited under Likatonian law.

MessageAgain - the AAP is amazed by the liberal values of the Conservative Party... but, again, we feel they have overstepped RATIONAL bounds on liberalism. If we remove ALL regulation from hunting, we are sure to see extreme repurcussions in the ecology of lovely Likatonia.

MessageThat doesn't mean that the food chains won't be disrupted, etc. drastic depopulation is rarely desirable even in non endangered species - unless you have very liberal definintions of endangered.

For hunting to be sustainable there have to be times of year (eg breeding season) when the animals are allowed free reign to increase in population, preparing for the culls of the hunting season. You wouldn't want to kill hunting now, would you?
