Bill: Limitation of Knesset Control of the Economy
Details
Submitted by[?]: Jewish Capitalist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2581
Description[?]:
This bill proposes that the control of the Knesset over the economy becomes more limited in order to allow further free trade and to allow the private sector to handle industry better than the government ever could. Act 1: When a business's profit is taxed, they will merely increase the price of their goods to make up for the profit loss. There should be zero business profit tax. Act 2: Government regulation of working hours leads to hard working citizens not getting payed enough to meet their financial needs. The government should have no policy over working hours, or alternatively should obligate unions and employers to set the working hours. Act 3: The Knesset should have no regulation over fireworks, other than only adults are allowed to purchase them. Act 4: It is the employer that needs the worker in order to make profit. If the employer deems that the demands of the worker are to great, the employer should be allowed to dismiss that employee. Act 5: While this party believes in a universal sales tax over income taxes, this sales tax is grossly huge, and should be dropped immediately, in case lower income families wish to purchase some luxuries in order to make their life more comfortable. We are willing to debate this proposal, but require a drop of at least 2%, with a preference for a 12% drop. Act 6: Minimum wage puts a major strain on the economy. Less skilled workers must now be payed more than their worth. To compensate, employers refuse to hire less skilled workers, denying less skilled workers the ability to gain skill in lower income positions. Minimum wage laws should be abolished. Act 7: Stock exchanges should be allowed and unregulated. |

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself. |
