Message | Never! So you've got the police. Then you've got the military. Legislation like this would likely lead to paramilitary. If you've got a group of people (note the SLP's other bill about dispersing groups) protesting (which we should all agree is a healthy part of democracy), not only will they be able to be dispersed by police, but under this bill, they could send in the highly-armed, trained-to-kill military. Whilst our police are trained to subdue, and to preserve lives, the military is the exact opposite. We train them to kill. To kill to defend us, not to turn their weapons on us. This bill MUST be defeated! |
