Date | 22:26:54, May 24, 2008 CET | From | Soviet Party (Trotskyist) | To | Debating the Call for early elections, May 2581 |
Message | The Central Elections Commission (a division of the Ministry of Justice) has announced that United Malivia does not meet the qualifications for a party to appear on the ballot and will not appear on the ballot in these elections. |
Date | 23:28:57, May 24, 2008 CET | From | United Malivia | To | Debating the Call for early elections, May 2581 |
Message | It is our right as a registered Malivian party to partake in the elections. Furthermore, the Soviet Party has been dissolved, and has effectively lost its seats in Parliament. Since seats are not held then positions on the Cabinet cannot be logically held either, and as such your party has no power in Malivia. Cabinet positions can only be held by members of parliament. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
