Bill: Budget proposal of June 2581
Details
Submitted by[?]: Alorian Public Union
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2582
Description[?]:
The Alorian Public Union propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Democratic Republic of Aloria. Takes a little away from Defence, Human Services, and Education to double the Infrastrucute Funds. Infrastrucure employs people and keeps the country moving. We feel that taking a little away from Defence (which takes the most losses here by %) is warranted since the 2nd Luthori Civil War is long over. Meanwhile, the more people employed, the less are on welfare. Human services I think can take the nominal decrease. We also reluctantly took away from Education, to be able to totally cover doubling the Infrastrcuture fund and leave an overall surplus. This is because A) The possibility of unforseen economic impacts B) We feel the overall decrease in spending would atrract those parties that are for less spending in general. |
