MessageThe number of seats has been decreased to 75, which means that there are 425 seats that technically shouldn't be there. Therefore, we propose early elections.

MessageElections shall transpire on schedule. We do not have enough money for elections at the moment.

MessageOOC: It's going to be 10 days until the next election. By then, I'm only going to have a few days left until I'm going on vacation.

MessageOOC: Assuming that the elections don't get delayed, which seems to happen almost every month. By my estimate, a tick failure is overdue.

MessageIC: Under that argument, since elections are expensive, we should have a dictatorship whenever there is a national debt.

MessageEither you're for the 500-seat Parliament, or you're for the 75-seat Parliament. The law says clearly that Parliament has 75 seats. Yet there are 500 members of the Parliament. Therefore, either early elections must be held or the law must be changed.

MessageNo. The 75-seat Parliament will come into effect once this term is over. We cannot simply hold elections every time part of the consitution is amended or else we would never be able to get things done.

MessageThere are no bills currently being voted on. Why not hold them now, when it will not prevent anything from getting done?

MessageI withdraw that statement. I didn't see the ones being voted on.

MessageThe law changing the size of the Parliament to 75 seats didn't specify that the election was to be delayed. We're supposed to follow the law.
Would UM object if we proposed it after voting is finished on the bills currently being voted on?

MessageOOC: It's hard to do RP with only 0 seats, and I can't wait 10 days. And by the time the scheduled elections happen, I'll already be packing my bags. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to play Particracy during my vacation.

MessageUnited Malivia is an agreement that after the bills currently being voted upon are finished we should schedule an early election to satisfy the democracy of our nation as proposed by the Soviet Party. As such, we also propose that no other bills are put up to vote until after said elections.

MessageOOC: At the same time tho, the players of conservative parties have been waiting for a chance to rule unfettered for months. Realistically, if we did early elections you'd probably end up with as many seats as I have now, and me, UM, and NMP will be stuck splitting the rest, thus ending our time of unquestioned dominance. Odds are another liberal or moderate party will arise before the next elections or two, thus this is really the conservative players only chance to run the country like this.
