| I am not against the use of animals in scientific research, however, I feel that it should be for specific research and not just for any little thing, I feel that scientists wishing to conduct research on animals for a specific reason should apply to do so, and upon acceptance, they should then be regulated on their activities and research. As it is now, you could pretty much decicide that you wish to shock a cats brain to observe the effects it has and then compare that to a humans. If you apply for the go ahead to do research on an animal to test the side effects for a drug or a surgeory technique, then i feel this is ok. Hope all that makes sense. |
