Bill: constitutional change

Details

Submitted by[?]: Bicky Forever - MSCC

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2584

Description[?]:

Another attempt to change the constitution...
For the left-wing parties, we added equal representation to this compromise.
The non-communist parties get rid of the communist titles.
BF gets a parliament of 299 instead of 750 MPs. That's much easier to count: a simple majority is 150, two-thirds is 200.

MessageIts a good idea. The neutral titles promote fairness in the system, a simpler parilament, and fair representation.

OOC: President and co. are kind of boring. We could support neutral names, but they'd have to be more interesting.

MessageThese should be split up. We don't support the representation proposal here, nor do we support decreasing the number of legislators. In terms of names, we advocate a return to Prime Minister and Chancellor for HoG and HoS, respectively. And for the legislative body, we propose the Ikradonian National Assembly.

MessageContrary to FFP, we strongly demand a comprehensive constitutional reform, including the decreasing of the number of legislators. Titles are of secondary importance to us.

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself.

Random quote: As for rape, of course, that is a direct consequence of the capitalist system of oppression. Capitalism relies on fuelling division and resentment to sustain itself, and so it sets men against women, race against race and so on. Men rape women because they are being oppressed by capitalism, so they take it out on women. Under Communism, there will be no rape, because there will be a full and natural harmony and equality between the genders. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party
