Bill: Libel

Details

Submitted by[?]: Bicky Forever - MSCC

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2584

Description[?]:

Against all hypocrisy. In the name of individuals freedom, one may write almost everything, but it's not possible for an individual to bring action against those writings...
We're not saying that truthful but defamatory writings should be illegal, but the possibility to sue must exist!

MessageHaha, this is sad. People shouldn't be able to sue others for printed remarks that may or may not be true. This would start up a wave of sue happy people which would have a negative effect on Ikradon.
