Bill: Revolutionary Communist Bill: Economics for All
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Socialist Union
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2584
Description[?]:
We firmly believe that the government should be able to own critical industries such as telecommunication and power. These services are vital for the wellbeing of our nation, and it can not be left up to private corporations to supply them. Furthermore, working hours should be limited, and this should be done through cooperation of unions and employers. Lastly, large banks in this period of time must be controlled and operated by the government to prevent massive selling of shares and stocks, our nation is in a difficult predicament, and a further economic crisis is the last thing we need. |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
