MessageAfter an extraordinary meeting in the Communist Party (marxist-luxemburgist), we have decided, that since this cabinet proposal isnīt proposed by us, it doesnīt contraedict our no-cooperation stance.
Therefore we will vote yes.

MessageWe the Progressive Liberals are not quite sure about this coalition, even though we are indeed pleased with the offices offered to us. Looking through the data on the involved parties, seems that points in common between us are scarce (as shown by our differing vote histories), and that the main drive for this coalition would be excising the JLC from the government. While we believe in political alternation, as shown by our endorsement of the Communists in the last HoS election, we don't think the situation is bad enough, nor the JLC as belligerent as it was years ago, for this coalition. However, words may persuade us as long as the coalition doesn't expect us to vote against freedom or federalization - our defection would not be critical, but it would leave the government with a razon-thin majority of 88-87.

MessageThis coalition is about the spirit of a new start for Cildania with a new government. All the Parties involved have their own ideals and goals and a fresh coalition government is the way forward for Cildania. This does not mean a Party line on all votes with Parties still free to put forward their own Bills but it is better to be on the inside than on the outside looking in.

MessageThe speech from the CPP has convinced us. However, remember that we will not vote against freedom, and that we the Progressive Liberals have already shown that we are not attached to ministerial offices when it comes to defending our ideals.

MessageWell obviously the League will not let this pass. If any of you wish to work with us in the cabinet please state your proposal and we will consider it.

MessageAfter the elections, we had considered a two-party government with the League, but sadly we wouldn't reach the majority threshold. We also think that this alternance "experiment" agglutinating parties from the centre and the left will be a Good Thing (tm) for Cildania, as the League has been present in all its governments - good or bad - in the recent decades. However, worry not, as we will continue to vote according to our ideals, and thus we might actually end up in the same side of the division in several votes.

MessageOOC: Whats that "(tm)" after "Good Thing", is that a trade mark sign?
So "Good Thing" is some kind of trade mark or what?

MessageIIRC under the constitution a government is always headed by the chancellor. If the chancellors party is not included in the government - it will fail.

Perhaps a constitutional change is needed?

MessageOr, and this is a crazy idea I know, we could try cooperating with the only elected official in our government. Why must every cabinet become so polarizing?

Point taken. We recoil from this coalition, seeing that we have turned against what we ourselves had defended previously on our consitutional amendments.

From Progressive Liberal Party
ToDebating the Cabinet Proposal of September 2584
MessageOOC: Because, in order to pass, the bill requires the approval of ALL parties that will be in the government, and the game considers the Chancellor (from the JLC) as "part of the government" in this aspect. Thus, the constitutional amendment we proposed and later withdrew, giving the Chancellor a veto over government proposals, was already in place.

MessageNo - the constitution as it is now states that the chancellor leads the government

Therefore we can not have a minority admin without another party being in charge
