Bill: Establishment of the Church of Aldegar Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Ducal Delegation

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2115

Description[?]:

His Grace believes we need to re-establish the Church of Aldegar. If we want happy and docile peasants, we need to give them a little religion. The social order has been undermined a great deal over recent decades, and bringing the old Church back would be a step in the right direction. Establishing this new Church would also provide employment opportunities for some of the Grand Duke's poorer and more distant relations.

Percy Waterman
(Personal Secretary to the Grand Duke of Hikirena)

Random fact: Real-life organisations should not be referenced in Particracy, unless they are simple and generic (eg. "National Organisation for Women" is allowed).

Random quote: "I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." - Thomas Jefferson
