Bill: Relaxing recycling regulations
Details
Submitted by[?]: Cooperative Commonwealth Federation
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2115
Description[?]:
The habit of recycling should, by now, be ingrained among the people of Lodamun. This bill will remove the mandatory recycling requirement for individiuals, while still maintaining full recycling pick-up at all homes and apartments. Businesses will still be requireed to recycle and otherwise remain responsible for disposing of their own waste. To move towards an incentive-based system, individuals and businesses will be paid for their output of recyclables, offering everyone a stake in the continued success of the recycling system. The amount to be paid will be calculated on output, but not be so high as to make the recycling industry a drain on the government treasury. Parties voting "yes" for this bill agree to retain this relaxed recycling system in place for a minimum of ten years. |

Message | This is the compromise we offered, thinking it would be acceptable. Now that it's up, we would welcome the views of other parties on how to structure the recycling system (this is a new proposal value, just made available). |
