ToDebating the Sexual Relations
MessageWe believe that crafting national policy dictating social relations, on the basis of some politically correct agenda like 'homosexual rights', is tantamount to social engineering.
The federal government shouldn't dictate how people should feel about certain things. If homosexuality and other forms of sexuality are legalized, there are several other implications on society - for example, it will no longer be acceptable for people to question homosexuality or to condemn it, as the state has officially sponsored it. It becomes gospel. Soon it will be unacceptable to express a dislike for homosexuality, and such expressions will become illegal. This is all part of the managerial state - a big government mechanism that tells the people that saying certain things is wrong, and doing certain things is OK, even if it is in direct conflict with our traditions.
Essentially, this is just a way for the federal government to enforce a homosexual agenda on the citizenry, and the people will have no choice but to alter their perceptions of homosexuality, lest they are dubbed a 'homophobe'.
The federal government should not indulge in such social engineering; such managerial statecraft.
Let the people determined by their own sense of place, culture, tradition and values. If the people of this nation do not agree with homosexuality, this isn't 'wrong' or 'homophobic' - indeed, the very concept of homophobia is just a manifestation of a politically correct agenda to change societal institutions, traditions and culture. The best way to silence dissent to a certain agenda is to tell the people they can't oppose it, or they are automatically a bigot.
We do not feel that acceptance of homosexuals should be forced upon the populace, especially when such acceptance is just part of a politically correct social construct designed to gradually erode our culture, our traditions, our values, and our societal institutions, such as the family and marriage.
The people of Trigunia deserve to retain society the way it has naturally evolved throughout Trigunia's history. They believe homosexuality is wrong, and unnatural, and it stands in direct conflict with our traditional concept of the family, and in fact infringes on the entire way that society is organized around the nuclear family unit.
There is nothing wrong trying to preserve society in its traditional form; a form that correlates with Trigunia's heritage, with its religious traditions.
We, therefore, vote against this legislation. We will never agree to federal, social-engineering of any description, least of all for the reasons of enforcing a 'homosexual', or anti-'racist', or anti-'sexist' agenda on the populace.
