Message | As a non binding resolution, we take this as just a declaration of intentions; concretely the commitment not to repeal the law that states every two unmarried adults have the right to marry. |

Message | We find no fault in the right to marry, but we oppose the idea that the government has the power to grant such rights. Such rights are already inherent to human life and liberty, the government merely protects these rights. |

Message | The State cannot restrict the right of two adult private citizens to sign a contract saying that they will live together and share their properties. However, the State can specifically recognize such contracts or not, and this carries effects: for example, if a couple is married before the State and one of them dies, the other gets a right to the inheritance and a widow pension. This does not happen if the couple is merely "together". Thus, the law passes some time ago, and this resolution, show the State commitment to recognize any such contracts that take place between adults that are not already married. |
