Message | So you think it's right to have fire fighters get more exploited because of there vital service to the nation? Isn't that a bit of twisted logic? We in the National Amalgamated Union of Enginemen, Firemen, Mechanics, Motormen and Electrical Workers have questioned our fire fighter members on the subject, and all workers feel is a gross betrayal of their great work in defending the cities of our nation from destruction by fire. The Amalgamated Union of Enginemen, Firemen, Mechanics, Motormen and Electrical Workers official reply to the comment by the Republican leader goes as follows: If the RPC wants the most vital and skilled workers to leave their jobs over low pay and poor working conditions, let it, but at least when we strike it's only temporary, but when we quite it final. The choose is theirs. The whole TUF is behind us, and the RPC's arrogance will only lead to greater militancy on our part. Omar Hussian Shop steward for the central fire station in Vashti and leader of the fire fighters section of the Amalgamated Union of Enginemen, Firemen, Mechanics, Motormen and Electrical Workers. |

Message | Absolute bull. They are not being exploited, if they did not want the jobs then they would not take them. They are not being forced into the jobs. If they don't like their pay, they can leave, simple as that. There's nothing stopping to, they're not slaves. You will note that we have a high minimum wage for this exact reason, no matter how low your pay, you can always manage a family without falling below the poverty line. There is no excuse to put people's lives at risk by striking. |

Message | No point putting peoples lives at risk by forcing firemen out of the job! |

Message | We're not forcing anyone out of any jobs. Inflation means wages go up, not down. If they didn't like the wage they shouldn't have taken the job! |
