Bill: Prescription drug plan for the poor
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2116
|Low-income earners shall be entitled to a subsidy for all prescription drugs deemed to be vital to keeping them alive, as certified by a licenced physician. These include, for instance, AIDS cocktail drugs. |
The first $100 LOD per year of life-saving prescription drugs are the responsibility of the individual themself. Costs above that woill be borne by the government. This is a small price to pay for saving the lives of Lodamun citizens.
Old value:: The government does not subsidise the cost of pharmaceutical drugs at all.
Current: The government pays partially for all citizens' pharmaceutical drugs, and pays entirely for those of low income citizens.
Proposed: The government subsidises the cost of pharmaceutical drugs for people on low incomes.
