Bill: Gun-control Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Republican Party of Lodamun
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2592
Description[?]:
We in the Conservative Party would like to propose a Bill giving every citizen of Lodamun the freedom to carry weapons concealed. We believe that everyone should have the right to defend themselves, and that there should be no limitations on this. As Gun Control only takes away people's right to defend themselves we oppose that some local governments can decide wheter people are intitled to defend themselves. We propose an other proposal, which gives individuals the right to carry weapons. Unless they have a record of mental illness or criminality. We want guns to be connected towards our basic freedoms. We hope your party will support us in this fight for freedom. |

Message | We don't have a problem with people carrying concealed weapons around, we totally agree that it is their right. But we also believe that local government know what is best for the people and that every town is different and they have diferent opinions and we should allow those local governments to decide. We were also the sponsors of the current law, so we cannot support this. |

Message | It should be connected to our basic freedoms, and so local government knows what is best in this case. It is just as free speech or any other basic right. We the Conservatives do not believe that this is up to the local government. As saying that local government could decide wheter somebody can talk freely or not isn't viable is it? Therefore we hope that the rest of the parties will support our side, as this is a basic right of every man and woman. |

Message | It is not that we don't support this option but we agree with the current one more. |

Message | We in the LLP belives that although a local government knows better than a central one, a person knows whats best for him or her themself. Therfore we think the option in 1 is better than the current one, but as long as people are allowed to conceal there weapons we are okay with the current value. As for number two its a big step foreward, as anyone who is not mentally ill or a criminal should be allowed to own a gun for self defence |
