Description[?]:

Whereas current forms of energy production are given preference over other;
Whereas we feel that the government should not give preferences concerning the production of energy;
Whereas we feel that subsidies put an unneeded burden upon the free market;
Whereas energy companies should not expect money from the government;
Resolves that the following measures be put in place.

ADDENDUM I

The Federal Government of Rutania can still give out grants for scientific research into alternate forms of energy production, however the government cannot subsidise or provide funding to a corporation in order to effect the internal decisions of a corporation.

ADDENDUM II

The state governments may continue to provide subsidies and incentives at the behest of the state governments. The federal government does encourage state governments to align their positions with that of the federal government.

MessageAgainst. Nuclear power is necessary for the strategic independence of Rutania from foreign fuels. In addition, oil (which is used to make plastic, paint, glue etc) is simply too valuable to burn.

MessageWe are forced to abstain on this bill, we do not want the subsidies to renewable energy to be abolished, but we don't want to encourage nuclear power either.
