| Message | Alongside these new budget allocations, the SDP strongly promotes its plan to cut excessive spending in Internal Affairs (to 3,000,000,000), Head of Government (to 1,000,000,000) and Justice departments (to 12,500,000,000), as well as Finance (to 2,000,000,000), in a three step phase down over the next two years so that there will be more funds (to the tune of 2,000,000,000) available for either the surplus or for other departments, on top of the new revenue from an increase in the corporations tax. We feel that the big recent growth in spending has perhaps gone too far for what is necessary in these departments. The SDP is committed to delivering a consistent budget surplus, while spending appropiately in all areas. Already, since 2590 when we first entered into Finance and control of the treasury, Economic Growth has surged to new highs as a result of the SDP's policies, leading to greater wealth among Malivians. Support this budget and allow room for greater growth in wealth for all Malivians in the future! |
