Message | Nothing is 'free' - this is perhaps one of the most fundamental laws of economics. Everything has funding that comes from somewhere, and if it isn't coming from the private sector, it's coming straight from the pockets of the tax-payers. We would never support such wasteful spending on completely 'free' universities and colleges, and we prefer pre-school policy to be left to local governments, as with charter schools. We oppose. |

Message | Air is free. I take it you've never heard of the concept of a "free good"? Regardless, this legislation makes sense as a way of correcting the market failure present in our education system. We support this completely. |
